LATIRSINCRÓNICO sonoplastía explores the plastic and visual materiality of the cardiac vibration. The sound frequency of the heartbeat becomes a graphic element, alive and vibrant. The rib cage that contains the human heartbeat is expanded, creating an anatomical cavity in the corporality of the architecture.
LATIRSINCRÓNICO is a sound/body project that proposes the experiment of creating cardiac melodies from the sound of two hearts. A wireless sound amplification unit -created in collaboration with dinamo DIY espai- allows the sound of the heartbeat to be heard in real time. Through physical, emotional and spatial alterations, this research involves an exploration of heart rates and intensities both individually and in relation to the other person’s heartbeat. Latirsincrónico explores musicality in synchronous and discordant rhythms; in the effect of affective interaction between two people; in physical reactions to various external stimuli; and in the influence of thought, emotions and memories.
